What are the requirements for the paper competition?
Each entry must be an undergraduate student, a member of one of the participating student chapters, and an active student member of AIChE.

What is the deadline for the paper submission?
The deadline for abstract submission is March 15th.

Are co-authored papers permitted?
Co-authorship is permitted; however, only one person will be able to present at the competition. This person must have also been substantially involved in the project or subject of the presentation.

How long should the presentation be?
Each presentation will have a 15 minute time limit followed by a 3-5 minute Q&A session with the audience and judges.

What are the prizes?
First Place: A cash award of $200 and a one-year subscription to the Chemical Engineering Progress magazine. The first place winner will also advance to present at the annual conference. Second Place: A cash award of $100 and a one-year subscription to the Chemical Engineering Progress magazine. Honorable Mention: A cash award of $50 and a one-year subscription to the Chemical Engineering Progress magazine.
